With a lot of anticipation revolving around the upcoming Sony WF-1000XM6, Sony teased a new earbud is indeed coming to the market. But it’s not the one you think, and based on this leak that’s going around, you are looking at a newer addition to the open-ear earbuds lineup – the Sony LinkBuds Clip.

Sony Linkbuds Clip Leak

The Sony Linkbuds Clip is their offering of clip-based open earbuds, and it is positioned under the Linkbuds because that specific lineup is mainly known for its more spatial-centric audio design. Unlike the Linkbuds Open, Fit and a few others we have seen in the past, the Clip has a clip design that sits around your ear, which is pretty impressive. You could say it does have some similarities to the Bose Ultra Open Earbuds.

As this won’t be the kind of product that consumers will listen to their high-quality music, it’s mostly designed to intertwine your real space with your music in a different way. With that in mind, the kind of specification we are noticing from the leaks is: DSEE support, IPX4, 360 Reality Audio, Multipoint connection, 10-band EQ, AI noise reduction for calls, and the audio delivery relies on Bone conduction sensors.

At the moment, it’s best to take it with a pinch of salt, as it’s still a leak and we are just days away from having the product officially announced. We are excited to try these out when the opportunity presents itself.
