Not a while ago, we saw the leaks for the upcoming Linkbuds, and today, the Sony Linkbuds Clip has finally made its official debut. Unlike the previous Linkbuds we have seen, the Linkbuds Clip brings a different perspective to music listening, which is similar to what Bose has done with their Open Ear-style Earbuds.

To get the pricing and colours out of the way, the Sony Linkbuds Clip is made available for RM 899, in four different colours: Green, Beige, Black and Lavender.

The Sony Linkbuds Clip is a different kind of earbuds that intertwines your music and environment together. Similar to the Linkbuds Open, which also offers an open-ear audio concept, these Clip literally clip onto your ear to give a more comfortable listening experience, which only means one thing: all-day wear. That said, these have a 10mm open-air driver and rely on bone-conducting drivers, and there are different listening modes, which are ideal for different circumstances, such as Standard and Voice Boost.

These earbuds are properly designed with comfort in mind, which I personally love about the Linkbuds lineup, and it also takes Sound Leakage seriously, so it optimises according to your environment, where it’s quieter. It supports DSEE out of the box and relies on two codecs, namely SBC and AAC. With the help of the Sound Connect app, you can tune it however you like.
You get battery life up to 9 hours with just the earbuds and an extra 28 hours of battery life in the case, which totals up to 37 hours of battery life. No worries about keeping it away from sweats and splashes, as it does offer IPX4 certification and even multipoint connectivity for easier usage between two devices simultaneously.

This just might be the kind of product that would be fitting in places where you need to be aware of your space and still enjoy the music in your ears. If it is, then, for RM 899, you can pick these up from Sony. In fact, Sony Malaysia is offering an Early Bird offer where consumers that purchases the Linkbuds Clip will receive a Jisulife Pro 1 worth RM 149. Do take note that it will be on a first come first serve basis.
