With more players entering the Personal Device tracker market, Xiaomi is now venturing into the market with their offering, dubbed the Xiaomi Tag, and it’s priced at RM 59. But what do you really get with it?

Xiaomi Tag Malaysia

Weighing at 10 grams, the Xiaomi Tag is designed pretty nicely in the sense that you don’t need an additional keychain holder or such for you to hook it up to your bags or valuables. Although it doesn’t support UWB, this tag might be one of the few on the market to support both Android’s Find Hub and Apple’s Find My.

The entire tracking relies on Bluetooth, so you may not be able to get precise location tracking, but it does claim to do some transmission, which we can only share more when we test it in person. However, Apple users will benefit from the NFC tap for Lost Mode.

The tracker is certified for IP67 and uses the same battery you’d find in Apple AirTag, but in this case, Xiaomi claims that these trackers will last for more than a year, which is a relief for those who have battery anxiety.

Xiaomi Malaysia will be selling the Xiaomi Tag in a one-pack for RM 59 and a 4-pack for RM 199 through their Online Store, which is now available for purchase.
