Long after Google’s Fitbit acquisition, we have not seen a Fitbit in a long time, as the brand has incorporated a lot of the features into the Google Pixel Watch. But in a rather surprising move, Fitbit is back in the form of Fitbit Air, their display-less wearable that does health tracking and more.
Fitbit Air

If you are a Serial Fitbit user like myself (I am still on my Fitbit Sense), and are based in Malaysia, well, tough luck because Malaysia misses out on the new Fitbit wearable. However, Singapore is the only country to get the new Fitbit Air.

That said, here’s what you are getting with the Fitbit Air. This wearable takes a display-free approach, which is what you notice from a lot of coveted wearables like WHOOP and so on. That said, despite the lack of a display, don’t underestimate the potential, as it does offer 7 days’ worth of battery and does offer all the good tracking features you’d want in a wearable.

The wearable offers a complete slew of features like 24/7 heart rate monitoring, heart rhythm monitoring with Afib alerts, SpO2, resting heart rate, HR Variability, Sleep tracking and the list really goes on. All of these can be synced with the Google Health app on Android, and for those who are using an iPhone, well, rejoice, you can use the Fitbit app to track your health metrics.

On top of that, since it is a band-type wearable, it comes in three different straps: Performance Loop, Active Band and Elevated Modern Band. The Elevated Modern Band really captures the signature Fitbit look very well.
Pricing and Availability
The Google Fitbit Air is priced at $99 USD, and in Singapore, it is priced at SGD 189. At the time of writing, if you get the Fitbit Air by 25th may, 2026, customers will receive SGD 45 Google Store Credit, which you can use to get a band you like as well. Technically, it isn’t free, but it’s better than just paying 189 for the Fitbit Air.
