During Google I/O 2026, Google announced a new partnership with Gentle Monster to make their Intelligent Eyewear and for the technology part of it, Samsung is teaming up with them.

The Gentle Monster Google Intelligent Eyewear will be their answer to competing with Meta Glasses and this is going to definitely bring some heat to the wearable market. Because it will have a built in camera and doubles as an audio glass, Google wants to make sure it is fashionable and partnering with Gentle Monster was an interesting approach.
That said, with Samsung teaming up in making these glasses happen, these glasses will have the ability to handle things like calls, music, the ability to take photos and from Google, you get to use Google Gemini with editing photos, navigation, live translations and so much more. We don’t know how well it works as the product is still in the works and it’s only due for launch later this year.
So, until then we will have to wait and see if it is any cool like we think it would be.
