Back in Computex 2026, ROG announced a whole slew of 20th Anniversary products for the global market, we already have some of them sold in Malaysia at the moment. Two products that will arrive later this year will be the ROG Xbox Ally X20 and the ROG Xreal R1 Glasses. What was initially planned as “to be sold as a bundle”, which is still the case, but ROG will also be selling the ROG Xbox Ally X20 without the ROG Xreal R1 Glasses as well.
For those who want to know a little more about the ROG Xbox Ally X20, it’s the same as the ROG Xbox Ally X we reviewed here with the new AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme, 24GB LPDDR5X RAM, 1TB storage, and 80Wh battery capacity. But what makes this Ally X20 special is the new shell, which is translucent, the gold accents, the matte finish pads with a new 8-way D Pad and a much cool looking XBOX button.
The grips are said to be improved with a better TPS material, featuring an Nebula HDR OLED display instead of the IPS panel we have in the normal Ally X and the TMR thumbsticks for better control. The question that we have is: will this be available in Malaysia and how much will it cost, especially with the eye-gauging price increase we have seen with storages and RAM.
Well, guess we will have to wait till October later this year and see.
