If you thought the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 was perfect enough, well, you are right – it was perfect. But Samsung decided to go and push some of the aesthetic elements of the phone to another level, and its safe to say that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 is really on Ozempic.

Talk about Ozempic

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 is now 6.1mm thin when unfolded and weighs at 180 grams, making it the thinnest and lightest Galaxy Z Flip to date. Honestly, last year Z Flip 7 was already thin enough and light enough if you ask me. Unfortunately, the Z Flip 8 will retain the Gorilla Glass 3 on the outside and the glass on the back, will be a glass fibre-reinforced polymer.

When folded, you are greeted with a 4.1” display and when unfolded, the phone has a 6.9” display for you to use. The battery is rated at 4300mAh which sees no change from its predecessor and the camera too remains the same with a 50MP wide and 12MP Ultra Wide.

Unfortunately, charging speeds are retained from its predecessor at 25W Wired and 15W wirelessly. And the processor powering up this phone is the Exynos 2600, which we saw in the S26+ and a fantastic processor in our opinion.
To be perfectly honest…

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 is just a minor refresh with a newer processor and that is really it. Apart from that, this flip has matured in so many ways that, you are getting a great flip phone eitherway. So, the choice is entirely in your hands if you want to get you hands on a year old Z Flip 7 to save some cost or go for the Z Flip 8.
But we think, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 is all that it is and users coming from much older Flips will be happy to get their hands on this or the heavily discounted Z Flip 7.
