I am guilty of losing my earbuds in the past, and ever since then I’ve made sure that it’s with me at all times in a proper case or pouch. And this person, let’s call him Alan, lost his Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro for months. In fact, he lost it on an ETS train sometime in February. And that’s like months ago. Alan really thought it was gone for good, until he checked his phone, only to find out that the earbuds were traceable, all possible to the SmartThings app.

The thing that remains a mystery is whether he managed to get it back, but even if he didn’t – at least, Alan now knows that the Samsung Galaxy Buds are capable of tracking through the SmartThings App, even if you lose them. You have to be a Samsung smartphone user, though, but hey, at least now you know that as long as you are in the Galaxy Ecosystem, the perks are endless, as you can track your gadgets with ease, and that’s not just limited to earbuds.

It needs to be a compatible Galaxy Device for sure, but you can track your phone, tablet, smartwatch, earbuds and SmartTag. With the help of other Galaxy devices in the vicinity, you can make sure to geolocate and pinpoint the exact location of the thing you might have lost.

So, Alan, we are sorry that you lost your earbuds, but at least you now have a very important take-home lesson: If it’s a Galaxy product, it is truly not lost.
