As much as we love the WH-1000XM6, it is still a premium headphone that is a tad inaccessible by a lot of the consumers out there. And there were rumours on how Sony is bringing back the XM4 as a budget offering for the masses, well, the entry to the XM lineup: the new Sony WH-1000XM4C is their answer and for RM 1,099, it very might well dethrone a lot of the headphones in this price point.

If theres one thing Sony has always gotten right with their headphones, it’s the choice of colours these audio cans offer. The Sony WH-1000XM4C comes in three different colours: Black, Platinum Silver and Lavender. For the most part, the headphones retains the same headphone design as the XM4, you still get the 1000X ANC which we all know of and trust us, the XM4 ANC still stands the test of time. And yes, it still uses the QN1 processor for it.
Unlike the XM5 or the XM6, which has adaptive Noise Cancellation, the XM4C uses the QN1 processor, which means you’ll have to manually adjust and optimize according to your situation.
They have added some additional features like new sound tuning, personalized sound settings with 10-band equalizer which was not on the original XM4 when it came out. Whats nice about this is how these headphones will have the collapsible design which I personally like.

The Sony WH-1000XM4C is priced at RM 1,399, however, if you plan to pre-order anytime from now until the 9th of November, you can get these for RM 1,099 with a free Touch n Go eWallet Credit worth RM 50.
