Now, a while back, we noticed a lot of hype with Xiaomi’s recent announcement in Malaysia, that is the Redmi Note 5. It has a good dual camera on the back, a huge display up on the front, big battery. It also happens to be the first phone to make it’s debut with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636. Again, not too long ago – Asus announced their new smartphone and from the looks of it, the new Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 can give the Redmi Note 5 a run for it’s money.
What’s so special about Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1
For starters, the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 is the second phone to power a relatively new processor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 as well. Comparing with the Redmi Note 5, the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 battery is bigger by a thousand mAh. So, you get a total of 5000 mAh. Under the hood, it claims to have 6GB RAM and 64GB Storage, which is super interesting.
The camera setup is about the same as the Redmi Note 5, where the secondary sensor is a depth sensor, which is a 5MP Sensor. It’s said to have a 13MP / 16MP Sensor. We think one of it must be the front facing camera’s resolution.
On the front, it has a 6″ FHD+ Display that has the 18:9 aspect ratio. What is even more shocking about the Zenfone Max Pro, is the fact that – it will be shipped with Android 8.1 with no custom UI at all! O_O
Question: Will it come to Malaysia?
Well, according to the information we received from our source – Asus Malaysia will be launching the Asus Zenfone Max Pro for the Malaysian Market sometime later in May 2018. The pricing, we don’t know yet. But what we know is that, in Indonesia – the new Zenfone Max Pro with 6GB RAM and 64GB Internal costs about Rp 3,299,000. That’s like RM 933.
Expect the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 to cost less then RM 1000 because, from the looks of it – it’s going to sell like hot cakes.
