TNG Digital has officially launched its main operations hub, and it happens to be situated in Bangsar South. The reason for choosing such a location is its central location as a booming business hub. Another factor which decided the location is the proximity of it to the centre of Kuala Lumpur.

Fintech Startup With Ambitions

TNG Digital is a fintech startup and is the product of Touch ‘n GO and Ant Financial.  Both companies are influential in their own rights, with Touch ‘n Go being synonymous with most Malaysians, having been around for more than two decades. Meanwhile, Ant Financial has experience and success in leading China’s cashless transformation, including with Alipay.

The launch of TNG Digital’s headquarters was officiated by the MP of Lembah Pantai, Yang Berhormat Fahmi Fadzil. Concerning the launch, YB Fahmi mentioned that he is grateful to TNG Digital for having chosen to build its office in his constituency of Bangsar South. Furthermore, he stated that Malaysia is moving forward to a cashless society, and with its new office, there’s a merger of different communities. On a closing note, YB Fahmi said he looks forward to the startup moving further ahead to revolutionise digital payment.

At the moment, TNG Digital already has a product which comes in the form of the Touch ‘n Go eWallet. Regarding the app, Syahrunizam Samsudin, the CEO of TNG Digital mentioned they are focusing their efforts in strengthening a homegrown Malaysian product. He went on to say that the startup hopes to enable Malaysian to transition their lifestyles with the product.

The Touch ‘n Go eWallet is currently available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Functionality of the app is currently limited to making payments, mobile top-ups, purchasing movie tickets, and transferring money. However, it now allows users to view the balance of Touch ‘n Go cards.
