Following OPPO’s successor to the Reno which was unveiled long while back, they are back with their new Reno 2 series – and OPPO Malaysia has brought in two different variants: the Reno 2 and Reno 2 F for the Malaysian Market.

Reno2

1/8

The Oppo Reno2 features a 6.5” Full AMOLED Screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio – and on the front, they are also using a 6th Generation Corning Gorilla Glass 6 to add better protection to it. The Reno2 features the infamous Shark Fin Pop Up style camera with a 16MP sensor in it. As for the back, it’s covered in the very subtle yet gorgeous looking design that’s made out of Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Reno2 focuses more on its camera aspect and with that said – on the back, it has a Quad Camera Setup: a primary 48MP Sony IMX586 Sensor with OIS and EIS capability, a secondary 13MP with Telephoto capability, an 8MP Wide Angle and finally a 2MP Mono Lens camera. The Reno2 has the potential to shoot on 5x Hybrid Zoom and 20x Digital Zoom which has been improved from the predecessor.

As for the performance counterpart, the phone boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G coupled with 8GB RAM and 256GB Internal Storage. As for the battery, the phone packs a 4000mAh battery under the hood.

Reno2 F

Moving on to their other Reno2 F – which shares a lot of similarity and has some differences going on at the same time. It houses a 6.5” AMOLED Display but with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and the device is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 5, both on the front and back. Instead of a Shark Fin pop up, it houses the same kind of pop-up camera which we have seen with their Oppo F9 – the Vertical Structure Camera.

At the back, the phone houses a 48MP primary GM1 sensor but with EIS, a secondary 8MP wideangle sensor and two 2MP cameras – Mono and a Portrait Lens respectively. On the front, the phone houses a 16MP camera with an atmosphere light instead. In terms of specification, the Reno2 F houses a MediaTek Helios P70 processor with 8GB RAM and a 128GB Internal Storage. As for the battery, it packs a 4000mAh battery as well.
