Among the whole Samsung Galaxy S22 Series, it’s only Ultra that has some significant changes with it being the Note more than a Series – which you can read all about it here. But you know the Samsung Galaxy S22 has not changed much and here’s our hands on with the device.
Samsung Galaxy S22 | S22+
Not Much has Changed in looks

The moment when you look at it, you can notice Samsung pulling the same S8 and S9 philosophy with the S22 where the phone looks identical to its predecessor. You notice that the phone has the same matte finish on the back, with the shiny metal rails on the side. But don’t let the looks deceive you because in terms of feel, the phone has changed.
It now has a much flatter back, although it doesn’t rest flat on the table because of the camera bump. The rails are a lot flatter, not really iPhone-esque flat. The front display too, is a lot flatter than its predecessor.
First time getting a Qualcomm Processor (in Malaysia)

Depends on how you look at the Samsung Galaxy S22, but this is the first time the whole slew of S Series is being powered by Qualcomm’s offering instead of the brands’ very own in-house solution, Exynos 2200 which is what I really wanted to see in person – because to experience the first collaboration between them and AMD in the GPU department. Unfortunately, due to some mysterious circumstances we won’t be getting it.
S22 misses out a lot of good stuff over the S22+

Over time, we have seen how the smaller brethren share the same things as its bigger brethren. But that trend is changing, with the smaller phone missing out on a bunch of features. The Samsung Galaxy S22 misses out on a lot of the good experience which the S22+ gets, such as: 45W Fast Charging capabilities, some feature skips, and we aren’t too sure if the S22 gets UWB this year. But from the look of it, it doesn’t – which makes it a sad of a phone.
S22 makes the S21 FE look better

Getting the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE feels like a better idea over the S22, given that it more or less shares the same experience, and it came out in the same year anyway. We are not going to say much as we only had some hands on and not really a complete experience to conclude. But otherwise, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus shares more similarity with the Ultra in terms of experience, sans the S Pen.
