All these exhibitions are making their way back from online launches to physical ones, and it’s exciting to know that Gamescom Asia is making its way to Singapore this year in 2022. While we are in Malaysia, it is the perfect opportunity to hit up and head over and check out what’s happening. In fact, for those unaware, Gamescom is the biggest video game festival in the world. That said, here are three good reasons why we are excited about it.

Reasons to be excited for Gamescom Asia

Reason 1: To be able to attend in Person

Being able to attend a festival physically, regardless of whatever it is, is a blessing in disguise in the current state of our world. For the past two years, spending inside homes and going through a pandemic was a big challenge, to begin with. To now be able to attend physically, is an exciting thing to do so – thanks to vaccines and other medical advancements to keep our health at bay. As we live in Malaysia, we will have to travel to a different country, although Singapore is our neighbouring country. There are many fans and even studios headed to Singapore.

Reason 2: Which brings to the most Important thing, a Tech Survival Kit

That only means that you must be prepared – and one thing we strongly recommend bringing with you is a tech survival kit. A kit that keeps you prepared with all the necessary things such as a backup battery pack, a spare smartphone, and much more. In fact, we carry our own one too, you can prepare yours with the help of this guide here.

Reason 3: Hear What the Speakers Have to Say

One of the biggest deals about Gamescom Asia is that if you are planning to pursue your career in game development or share the same interest and would like to show and interact with the speakers behind some of the best games – this is your time to do it as they have the ability to network and hear what they have to say. Some of the people that will be making their appearances to talk about gaming scenes and trends will be Peter Vesterbacka, a Finnish mobile game developer, Tim Fields, VP and GM of Digital Gaming of Wizards of the Coast, my personal favorite, Simon Alty from Bethesda and so much more.

Reason 4: If you live in Malaysia, it’s nearer to you

Save the expensive flight tickets if you live in Malaysia as you don’t even have to travel so far to witness one of the most famous video game festivals. This year, it happening at Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre, Singapore. So, you can either get your cars ready for a road trip or hop on the next bus to get to Singapore if you live in Johor Bahru.

There you have it. All you need to do is now get your bags packed, time to get those tickets from Gamescom Asia and have a great time being on the same floor with amazing people that have shaped your childhood. Don’t forget to have a Tech Survival Kit, seriously, at an event like this, you will need it.
