The Triton series from Predator has been one of those head-turning laptops for its build and profile which happens to be thin. But that doesn’t stop the laptop from performing well. This year, we have the new Acer Predator Triton 16, which was announced during the Next@Acer 2023. However, this time it goes bigger in size and of course, performance.
Acer Predator Triton 16

The Acer Predator Triton 16 comes in this silver finish which I do personally like a lot. It happens to have a simple 19.9mm profile making it very sleek and sexy with that look. Now, under the hood, the Predator Triton 16 gets upto a 13th Generation Intel i9 processor followed by NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 which is based on Ada Lovelace along with DLSS 3.0 and this is a Max-Q GPU instead of a full-fledged 4070 in a thicker laptop. So, there will be some TDP differences. Now, there is a really nice 2TB PCIe M.2 SSD in RAID 0 with up to 32GB of DDR5 5200MHz RAM.

On the front, you will notice a new 16” 16:10 Display in a 2560×1600 dimension which is perfectly capable of hitting 500 nits, DCI-P3 Colour gamut, and finally, we get to see NVIDIA Advanced Optimus and G-SYNC, which means it houses a MUX Switch that has the potential to switch the required graphics processing depending on the task you perform and offers a longer battery life. It’s a 240Hz refresh rate display.

To keep all of those components cool under pressure, this laptop uses the 5th Generation AeroBlade 3D Metal Fans.

As for the ports, you have a decent selection – Intel Killer DoubleShot Pro for Wi-Fi 6E, 2x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Ports, HDMI 2.1, 1x USB-C with Thunderbolt 4 Support and a Micro SD card slot. There’s also a fingerprint sensor for easy unlock and tightened security.
There’s no news as to when it will be available in Malaysia but there’s a good chance it might be arriving closer to the end of the year, or perhaps in Q4 of 2023 to put it in better words.
