Rejoice! Wizards of the Coast finally take the step to make Magic the Gathering Arena on Steam, which means everyone around the world can play it right? Not quite. Despite its availability on Steam, MTG Arena still remains to be available only in select countries. But that doesn’t mean you can’t play – because we do play it given that we are based in Malaysia.

Initially, the launch of Magic The Gathering Arena launch was supposed to be a Fall release in 2023 and this announcement was made at MagicCon Minneapolis. But interestingly, they released the game on Steam, earlier than expected. You can find the game here. But if you are outside of the US or not in the select countries they have listed on their site – there’s a good chance you can’t access it. However, their PC client version which was released in 2018 is still available.

So, if you do want to play MTG Arena, the only best bet is for you to download it through their official site, which is pretty much accessible from anywhere around the world with no issues whatsoever. The game remains to be free-to-play if you don’t want to spend to crack virtual packs which is possible by the way. But for what it’s worth, it’s a good place to learn or begin your way into the world of Magic the Gathering.

Android and iOS aren’t the easiest to play MTG Arena but there are groups where users upload apk and OBB files to make the game playable. As much as it is nice of them to do so, however, be warned that the files may have been tampered with.
