It’s no surprise that Magic the Gathering releases some special bundles, almost every set they have released so far. One of the significant bundles happens to be the Compleat Bundle from Phyrexia All Will Be One. It looks like they are bringing another set-specific special bundle and you should get Duskmourn Nightmare Bundle Before it’s too late. Let us break it down.
Duskmourn Nightmare Bundle Breakdown
What’s Inside?

If you have opened bundles before, it’s safe to assume that the content would be almost the same, except for some additional content which is only found in special bundles such as this one. The Duskmourn Nightmare Bundle is one of the best bundles we have come across in terms of content. You get the usual Play booster packs, which in this bundle, you get 6 packs, 20 traditional foil full-art lands (4 of each), a nice deck box and a spin down die which is glow-in-the-dark.
What makes this bundle special are the following: 2x Collector Booster packs instead of the usual one, 3 double-sided movie posters (vs 1 which we get in every bundle) and this time, to go with the nightmare and horror theme, they have done something truly thematic – which I believe will be highly sought after.
Goosebump Artist Promo and Special Card
Borderless Promo Card (1 of 3, randomized)
Promo cards have always been fixed to every bundle, but not this one. This time around, you could get one of three of these borderless cards by Tim Jacobus, a name that is synonymous with R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps Series. As someone who loves horror, this would make an amazing addition to your collection (As well as mine).

You could get Crypt Ghast, Exhume or Damn – in the slot and since it’s randomized, there may be a rarity effect where cracking one or the other can be a bit of a challenge, speaking from the experience we’ve had cracking our LoTR Box Topper.
Movie Poster-themed Card (1 of 3, randomized)

James Bousema, Josh Newton and Martin Ansin join forces to create these promos, giving that 80’s horror movie power vibe – which we got to see with the Now on VHS! Secret Lair and so on. As a huge fan of such art, these three cards are what I am going to be looking forward to collecting personally. There’s Goryo’s Vengeance, Living Death and Archon of Cruelty. Once again, you get one of three as it’s randomized.
Since this is a Nightmare Bundle special, and most special bundles have foil cards – expect these to come in Foil only. However, folks like myself who prefer the non-foil treatment might be a little disappointed.
Duskmourn Nightmare Bundle Value
With that said, one of the biggest questions would be – what’s the value like? Now, at the time of writing and posting, LGS still have pre-orders open for the bundle which you can pick up for RM 300-350 depending on stores. The value for it is pretty neat in some way:
- 6x Play Booster Packs (valued at RM 25 each (total RM 150))
- 2x Collector Booster Packs (valued at RM 120 approx. each (total RM 240))
And just the packs alone come to about RM 390, excluding the special treatment cards, lands and Die.
It’s safe to say that the Nightmare Bundle will be pretty hot amongst players and collectors who want to get their hands on the promo cards and crack packs at some discount. If you can secure the bundle at RM 300-350 – It’s the best price you will ever get for it. Don’t wait till it hits the shelf because by then the prices would have gone up and you’d probably have to spend more than RM 400 or over for one, just like how Compleat Bundles are.
But again, this is just a hunch and one shouldn’t get a bundle from a financial standpoint. So, at your own risk by the way. For those who prefer the USD calculation, MTGLawyer on Reddit has given his breakdown, which you can click here to find out.
Where to get it?
In Malaysia, you can head over to your nearest LGS to find out if they are taking Pre-orders for the Duskmourn Nightmare Bundle. The price should be anywhere from RM 300 to 350. Since it doesn’t have a fixed SRP, expect the prices to fluctuate between Game Stores out there. If it helps, do check the WPN Store locator to find the nearest store and hit them up.
