It’s no surprise that Playstation Asia made an appearance at Gamescom Asia 2024, as this isn’t their first time either. However, the games they chose to display at the event were, actually, new titles that are yet to be released. One of them in specific we have heard about it being in the works but never seen the end product. So, here’s what we checked out at the Gamescom Asia 2024 PlayStation Asia booth.

Gamescom Asia 2024 PlayStation Asia

Sonic Shadow Generations

Yes, the game that was announced at the State of Play has finally made its appearance at Gamescom Asia in the form of a demo – Sonic Shadow Generations, set to come out this week in fact, is making over to PS5. The platform game threads on the same line as the previous Sonic Generations, however, this one will feature Shadow the Hedgehog. With a blend of classic gameplay and modern graphics, it feels amazing to play this one on a big screen – especially with the way Sony chose to showcase the game.

It’s now available for pre-order – we aren’t too sure if we’d review it but I guess never say never.

Just Dance 2025 Edition

For those dance freaks out there, get ready to dance to Sabrina Carpenter’s Espresso and other hits from 2025 as Just Dance 2025 Edition is here for us to jive and vibe. Just like any other Just Dance we have seen before, this heavily leverages over the camera which is sold separately, for you to play the game. That said, it doesn’t end at the 2025 songs, but it goes beyond that – by including classic hits and dance anthems – from Lady Gaga to Billie Eilish. We would have danced but this kid at the booth was super engrossed into it – so we just spectated the game really.

As for the Rest

Ubisoft SEA showcased, what appears to be The Crew Motorfest, their recently released Racing game which you can purchase for a discounted price on the PS Store. And CAPCOM had the demo for Monster Hunter Wilds as well – which we spoke about in another article – you can click here to check it out. And of course, their recently released Astro Bot Game was there too, including the big mascot taking over Gamescom Asia in the most epic way possible.

Nothing else to rave about at the PlayStation Asia Booth but it was the booth filled with warmth with familiar games and allowed us to relive nostalgia in every way possible.

Thanks to Playstation Asia for giving us the booth tour at Gamescom Asia 2024.
