Recently, the Japanese legion of a brand, Sony, pulled their latest flagship from all the markets due to a major issue, and then the brand proceeded to get things in order. And now that the issue has been resolved, the Sony Xperia 1 VII makes its return into all the markets, including Malaysia, for RM 6,29,9 and if you get it now till October 2025, you can even get the new Sony WH-1000XM6 for free.
Sony Xperia 1 VII Malaysia
To give a quick recap on the Sony Xperia 1 VII, the three main upgrades in the hardware department happens to be the following:
- A new ultrawide camera with a 48MP sensor at f/2.0, which has a 16mm focal length
- Brighter Xperia Display with Sunlight Vision
- Powered by the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite Processor and now with 4 years of major OS upgrades and 6 years of security upgrades
- This time around, there’s a more interesting collaboration with Sony Alpha for the Camera, Bravia for the Display and Walkman for the Audio. Of course, you get the whole Xperia Intelligence, which is a part of the phone.
Apart from that, most of the experience and hardware happen to be the same, if not similar to the Sony Xperia 1 VI, which isn’t a bad thing after all. At the time of writing, Sony Malaysia has announced that the phone is now available for purchase through their Official Stores and authorised channels for RM 6,499. If you happen to get the phone by 5th October 2025, you are eligible for a Sony WH-1000XM6 worth RM 2,099 for free. Which means, the phone is really RM 4,400. Girlmath.
