We finally got our hands on the new A Series smartphone for us to give it the review treatment that every phone that enters the VesperLab does. That said, in this we are going to focus on the giving the Samsung Galaxy A53 Initial Impressions and its going to be more on the, what you find inside the box, what’s noticeably different from its predecessor and all that really. That said, right off the bat…

No longer comes with a Charger in Box

Yes, this is quite literally the first time we are getting a Samsung Galaxy A Series with no charger included inside the box. The last phone ever to get the charger with the phone was the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G which we did review here last year. That said, this year’s box is relatively thinner and its as thin as the flagship smartphone boxes, with no charger included. But what you do get is a USB-C to C cable which is okay I suppose.

But all that you have is a simple USB-A adapter, then you will have to hunt for a USB-C adapter, we reviewed one – so check that out.

Different Design from its Predecessor

Samsung Galaxy A53 Initial Impressions

While the design language isn’t entirely different, the Design is still slightly different from its predecessor. While the older AX2 series had a much more protruded camera cut out, the AX3 series has a contour cutout which is what I like to call it as the protrusion gives a different kind of shadowy illusion which is pretty cool than the predecessor.

Get a Screen Protector

While this may seem like a thing to do a little later as Samsung usually include a screen protector pre applied with the phone, due to the whole eco-friendly route the brand is taking, they have eliminated it entirely. So that means, your screen has no protection from minor scuffs and scratches. Get a protector film which allows you to use the fingerprint sensor as well. So that way you will be able to protect the screen and keep it as functional as possible.

Completely new Specification for 2022

The Samsung Galaxy A53, as a norm, for the new year, it gets a new specification and it gets an Exynos processor under the hood, specifically the Exynos 1280. Following that, it comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB Internal Storage which can be expanded with the help of a MicroSD Card. There are some granular upgrades in the camera department which we will talk about it more in the review, in coming days.

Say bye to your Headphone Jack

One thing you will have to invest in, is a good USB-C Dongle or Headphones as this is also the first time the Samsung Galaxy A Series comes with no headphone jack built in. For mass consumers who has been heavily dependent on a proper wired earphone, it’s a bit of a bummer but that said, its either investing in a dongle or getting a Bluetooth earbuds.

Stay tuned for the Review

That’s all we have for now and keep your eyes peeled for the Samsung Galaxy A53 Review here via our socials as we will be in fact posting very soon than you think. Unfortunately, we don’t have the A33 to review which is another phone we think might do well and the A73 but be sure to check out our first look on it where we did get the opportunity to check it out. To purchase the Samsung Galaxy A53, you can head over to Samsung’s official store or via their online store.

Special thanks to Samsung Malaysia for sending us the A53 for this content to happen and the review which will happen in the coming days.
