As someone who worships Noctua for all its good quality thermal solutions, one of the best collaborations that have happened so far has to be the ASUS and Noctua combo for GPU. That said, the 40 Series NVIDIA GPU gets the Noctua treatment for one specific model and the ASUS GeForce RTX 4080 Noctua OC Edition costs a cool RM 6,999.

ASUS GeForce RTX 4080 Noctua OC Edition

Specification

Now there isn’t anything drastically different about the specification. It’s still the RTX 4080 we all know. Under the hood, we have the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 with 16GB of GDDR6X VRAM, 9728 CUDA cores, supports PCIe Gen4 and has 2x native HDMI 2.1 and 3x native DisplayPort 1.4a. Now what is different is – for one the fans. Instead of the conventional fans, we see in GPUs, these have the Noctua NF-A12x25 on top of the heatsink. Noctua signature is to make a low noise level and a smooth acoustic signature – so you can most definitely witness that.

Another big change is the thermal design – instead of a traditional thermal dissipation solution, we now have a Vapor Chamber with a network of 8 heat pipes incorporated into the design. According to ASUS, if you happen to use the RTX 4080 at 320 watts, this GPU peaks at about 61.7 degrees Celsius.

In its design, you will notice how the GPU takes a page out of that popular “brown” colourway Noctua is known for. So, this GPU is really for those who worship both ASUS for its immaculate GPU manufacturing process and Noctua for its wonderful thermal solutions.

Unfortunately…

There’s no 4070 Noctua edition yet (Actually, there are no 4070 GPUs at all, since it has not been released), but it’s something we will have to wait and see – but otherwise, this ASUS GeForce RTX 4080 Noctua OC Edition costs a cool RM 6,999 with a 3+1 year warranty offer.
