We have seen a bunch of AI-centric laptops released from ASUS in the past few months, starting with the Snapdragon-powered laptops, followed by Strix Point and now, we have the creator-focused ASUS ProArt laptops making their way into Malaysia. Three Windows machines under the lineup made their debut at Computex 2024. However, we are currently getting the ASUS ProArt P16 and ASUS ProArt PX13.

ASUS ProArt P16

The ASUS ProArt P16 has a traditional laptop look going, but it packs the punch it requires and will definitely entice a lot of creators out there. Powered by the latest AMD Strix Point processor, the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 with 32GB DDR5 RAM and 2TB M.2 NVMe SSD with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 is pretty good for what it’s tasked with. The display on ProArt laptops is one to be praised as it has an industry-standard display for colour accuracy – all that in a 16” 4K OLED 16:10 aspect ratio.

As for the ports and since it’s a ProArt laptop, you do get a good selection and future-ready even with a USB4, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type A, HDMI 2.1 FRL, 3.5mm Combo Audio Jack, DC-in (ASUS’ Proprietary port resembling like MiniDP and not the Barrel kind) and a full-size SD Express 7.0. Charging up the laptop is a 200W adapter which powers up the laptop via the 90Wh battery. And yes, since it’s a creator laptop, you do get access to the ever-exclusive ASUS Dial.

ASUS ProArt PX13

Suppose you want your creator laptop to give that 2-in-1 action, a little flip and fold with a proper touch screen for you to work on. In that case, you can look at the ASUS ProArt PX13, a 13.3” 3K Display laptop with, of course, a colour-accurate display with all the certifications for colour-accurate work. Under the hood, you get 32GB RAM with 1TB SSD and it’s powered by the same AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 instead.

Since this laptop focuses more on portability, you do lose out on the full-size SD Card and a much bigger battery. So, over here, you have USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type A, 2x USB 4.0 Gen 3 Type C, HDMI 2.1 FRL, a 3.5mm combo audio jack, MicroSD 4.0 reader and ASUS’ proprietary charging port (in a slightly rectangular shape that resembles Mini-DP). But you can charge via USB-C Power Delivery – although you might have to get the adapter that works well separately. You do get the DialPad support and all this weighs at 1.38kg.

Pricing and Availability

As for the pricing and availability, both the laptops are now available as we speak and the prices for these laptops are as follows.
