Tablets have been seeing some serious demands and surges among consumers for its portability and versatility. That crown was with Apple for a long time – especially their pro-lineup that won a lot of consumers’ hearts. But we might just have a good contender for real, a proper Android tablet with all the fine stuff and here’s our Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra Hands on.

They weren’t Kidding, It’s big
Initially, looking at the leaks – I was a bit skeptical, going that there’s no way Samsung going to make a tablet that big. Well, jokes on us – they did make a tablet that’s huge. Big as my laptop, the ASUS Expertbook B9. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra houses a whopping 14.6” WQXGA+ Super AMOLED display with refresh rates up to 120Hz.
If you look closely, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra has a notch that houses a dual 12MP camera for you to do some good conference calls and some extra software tricks for it to have some fun in a way that you can clear the background noise and so on.
It’s a Big AF Note
Technically, it is a big af note because the Tab S8 Ultra, sets an impression of being the kind of pro tool a creator or for those who do of a device. That said, the S Pen experience is more or less the same as the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. But combining these two devices, it becomes an ultimate workhorse with applications like Lumafusion taking advantage of it and personally, I am so down for that.
With the Accessories, has potential to be a laptop
At this rate, the Tab S8 Ultra has the potential to be a Laptop replacement and with the right accessory like the Keyboard Cover that will be sold alongside the tablet, and turning on the Dex mode, you will have the right kind of experience. That said Samsung has said to improve the whole Dex experience with more resizable windows, ability to hook up to an external display, transparent windows and much more.
What about the other Galaxy Tab S8 and S8+
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 and the Plus are incremental upgrades from the predecessor with good changes such as:
- Improved body with good durability
- New Snapdragon processors
- Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2
